This time, under the direction of Antonello Manacorda, a stellar cast was presented. Ermonela Jaho embodied an extraordinary Violetta. Everything Jaho sings becomes a diamond. Her interpretation is polished and brilliant and manages to move anyone to tears. Her voice not only emanates celestial music, but also dramatizes like no other. In its final moments, from "Addio del passato" to "Prendi quest'è l'immagine," he left the London Coliseum breathless because his interpretation was absolutely dramatic and delicate, so that those present immediately knew they had heard something mythical and unrepeatable.

Alfredo resonated in the vibrant and marvelous voice of Giovanni Sala. His Alfredo is youthful and lively, full of a crystalline and lucid timbre that shone throughout. Sala is a singer of supernatural power and a promising career. Beside him, Aleksei Isaev sang in the voice of his father, Giorgio Germont. Isaev flawlessly performed the famous aria from the second act and demonstrated that he is an excellent baritone who could soon conquer the opera world. Also noteworthy were the voices of Veena Akama-Makia as Annina, sweet and passionate, Barnaby Rea as Doctor Grenvil, powerful and guttural, and the wonderful voice of Ellen Pearson embodying an immaculate and stellar Flora Bervoix.
