Incipit
Current times are characterized by a language of warfare, the rise of the arms market, a lack of culture, and the moral and qualitative degradation of the media. The immediacy of social media and addictions to mobile devices are alarmingly consuming our society. Reading has become scarce; opera programs, which were once beautiful book-like works, are disappearing, and bookstores are closing as the value of books diminishes. In this crisis of the soul, culture is the true weapon, and paper remains an essential vehicle, just as it was in the challenging years of the 20th century.
Lohengrin is born as a cultural tool in paper format, although it will also be available digitally and unbound to any private or public institution, aiming to contribute to cultural dissemination in Europe. At a time when popular and scientific magazines are facing setbacks, even those dependent on university institutions, Lohengrin emerges strongly to provide publication opportunities for young researchers.
We have established a robust scientific advisory board that will allow the Papers section to house research articles that will be peer-reviewed. The magazine will publish in German, English, Spanish, Catalan, Italian, and French in the Papers section, while other sections may be published in English, Spanish, or Catalan. Lohengrin presents itself as an entity free from any political ideology, with a multilingual approach, recognizing that Europe’s cultural richness lies in the diversity of its languages, each of which enhances us.
The magazine is born with a free and youthful spirit, unbound, with the mission of contributing to culture and countering the growing crisis in the cultural sector.

The history
Launched in March 2025, Lohengrin is a fresh, youthful magazine dedicated to music, opera, and art history—designed for all publics, by young people.
We make culture exciting, accessible, and modern. Each issue blends classic masterpieces with today’s voices—with papers, interviews to artists, articles about music and art, reviews and much more.
Whether you're into Wagner, Mozart, classical art or modern art, Lohengrin is your new go-to for culture that speaks your language.
